Historic Restoration

Historic buildings showcase our heritage. Our goal for each restoration is to respect, protect and restore.

Building restoration is at the heart of our green philosophy. Making old and historic buildings live on is ultimately sustainable architecture. Taggart Construction supports building rehabilitation which allows the adaptation of historic buildings for contemporary use while protecting heritage value. We have painstakingly worked on the restoration of many of Portland’s historic buildings including the Victoria Mansion and Greater Portland Landmarks new home, 93 High Street. Our goal is to preserve the integrity of historic structures while creating higher performance, greater energy efficiency and a healthier indoor environment.

Experienced craftsmen attentive to quality and detail, exceptional service, and excellent communication make us uniquely suited for restoration work.
